Saint-Andre’s role pays off

THE appointment by Sale of Philippe Saint-Andre as director of rugby is already starting to pay dividends with the signings of Sebastien Chabal and Robert Todd.

Both players have worked with Saint-Andre before back row forward Chabal joins from Bourgoin, the team Saint-Andre left for Edgeley Park, while Gloucester centre Todd was at Kingsholm under the former French international.

"Chabal is tailor made to make a huge impact in the Zurich Premiership," he said.
