Horgan faces fitness battle

ANTHONY HORGAN will lose out on another big Munster occasion in Europe after damaging a hamstring in last night’s successful Celtic League semi final at Thomond Park.

Horgan faces fitness battle

Horgan is facing a fitness battle for next week’s clash with Perpignan in France, but he really doesn’t have much of a chance. The best he can aim for is the final match of the pool section of the competition against Gloucester in a fortnight and there is no guarantee that he will even make that.

“I am disappointed,” said Horgan after he limped off in the 22nd minute of the game. It has been a bad year for the Cork Constitution winger and he must now wait until today for a scan to show the exact extent of the damage.
