Farrell debut on hold

Andy Farrell’s frustrating wait to make his rugby union debut will continue until at least mid-November.

And potential England honours are also on hold, with Farrell being ruled out of head coach Andy Robinson’s autumn Test plans.

The 30-year-old former Great Britain rugby league captain has had toe surgery to rectify a problem which surfaced during pre-season training match with his new club Saracens, and they do not expect him to regain full fitness for eight weeks.
