TWO great Limerick rugby families were celebrating yesterday after Eddie O’Sullivan included Eoin Reddan and Jerry Flannery in his squad for Ireland’s Six Nations opener against Italy at Lansdowne Road on Saturday week.

Reddan, who joined London Wasps this season, having failed to unseat Peter Stringer as Munster’s number one scrum-half, has been chosen ahead of Matt Dawson on several occasions by his new club.

He is the original tap-and-run kind of number nine who loves to play at a fast tempo and his selection gives an indication of O’Sullivan’s game plan.
