I would have ‘sorted out’ Umaga after tackle, says Dallaglio

BRITISH and Irish Lions flanker Lawrence Dallaglio claims he would have “sorted out” New Zealand duo Tana Umaga and Keven Mealamu after their apparent spear tackle on Lions skipper Brian O’Driscoll.

I would have ‘sorted out’ Umaga after tackle, says Dallaglio

The All Blacks pair made the off-the-ball tackle in the first 90 seconds of the first Test in Christchurch, dislocating the superstar Irish centre’s shoulder and ending his tour, but neither was cited in relation to the incident.

The hosts went on to complete a 3-0 Test whitewash and Dallaglio, who was ruled out of the tour by an ankle injury suffered in the opening match against Bay of Plenty, claimed he would have dealt with the Kiwis personally.
