Record viewers for Cup games

RTÉ’s coverage of Leinster’s and Munster’s Heineken Cup quarter-finals clashes last Saturday drew record audiences for the broadcaster.

The highest Heineken Cup audience figures were recorded during Munster’s win over Perpignan with the audience peaking at a massive 584,000 representing a 49% share of people watching television at that time.

The tie had an audience of 431,000 for the duration of the game.
