Leinster win first youth series

Leinster completed only their first Youth Interprovincial series win in six years with a hard fought 11-3 victory over Connacht at Lakelands on Saturday.

Leinster opened the scoring after eight minutes with a penalty from Chris Jebb and the hosts heaped more pressure on the visitors with another Jebb effort on 22 minutes.

A combination of strong pressure from the home side in the first half and gallant Connacht defence resulted in a tight half with neither side giving an inch in Terenure.
