Scotland back-row forward Jon Petrie has vowed to make his mark for Glasgow Warriors to maintain the international captaincy for the autumn test series.

The 28-year-old was named Scotland skipper for the summer wins against the Barbarians and Romania by interim head coach Frank Hadden in the absence of Gordon Bulloch, who was in New Zealand with the Lions.

SRU chairman Allan Munro has vowed to appoint a permanent national coach before the visit of New Zealand, Argentina and Samoa to Murrayfield in November.
