Cash-strapped Italians have to struggle till 2006

A SHORTAGE of cash will continue to hamper Italy’s progress in international rugby according to the Federation President Giancarlo Dondi.

The Italians were recently made full partners of the Six Nations Championship but earn considerably less than the other five participants, and until that issue is addressed in three years time Mr. Dondi believes the struggle will go on.

The cash-strapped Italians will have to until 2006 for an equal share of the spoils and they are not happy with the current arrangement.
