Browne McMonagle sidelined for ‘a number of weeks’ following Bellewstown fall

Dylan Browne McMonagle faces a spell on the sidelines after a fall at Bellewstown on Tuesday, with the first day of the track’s 300th anniversary fixture ultimately abandoned following further fallers.

The Irish champion jockey was taken to hospital in Drogheda after being sent crashing to the turf when his mount Mosel fell while mounting a challenge a furlong from home in the opening race, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.
