Green Empress and Dylan Browne McMonagle (green cap) win the Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes (Group 2) for trainer Joseph O'Brien

Green Empress pounced late under an inspired drive from Dylan Browne McMonagle to land the Group Two Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes at the Curragh.

Joseph O’Brien’s filly had run into Sun Goddess on each of her first two starts, finishing second both times and getting to within three-quarters of a length in the Airlie Stud Stakes on her most recent outing.
