Lossiemouth will run in the Unibet Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, Willie Mullins has confirmed.

The three-time festival winner had also been entered in the Mares' Hurdle, which she has won in the last two Festivals. But this year, she will run on the first day at Prestbury.

Mullins told Sporting Life that he and owner Rich Ricci had been in discussions about the plan for some time.

"After we spoke after racing at Gowran, it's been decided that Lossiemouth will run in the Champion Hurdle.

"With the declaration timing she was always going to travel over to England when she has and we're happy to let her take her chance on Tuesday where she'll wear cheekpieces."
