For the third time in her career, UK challenger Fallen Angel came away from an Irish raid with Group 1 honours, this time by taking the Coolmore America “Justify” Matron Stakes.

In fact, the former winner of the Moyglare Stud Stakes and the Irish 1000 Guineas suffered the only defeat of her Irish visits when runner-up to Porta Fortuna in this race in 2024, and she righted that wrong with a performance of true grit.
