Remember the name, Nova Nako. That was the clear message emanating from yesterday’s Killeady Harriers point-to-point at Dromahane as Edmund Power’s runner initiated the opening leg of an initial career three-timer for rider Michael Kenneally by destroying the opposition in the truly-run four-year-old geldings’ maiden.
The Tirwanako-sired Nova Nako (10/1) made virtually all the running and it was crystal clear that he was possessing too many aces for market-leader Coconut Man from two out as he galloped on relentlessly to account for the Jonathan Fogarty-trained favourite by seven and a half lengths with a 20-length break back to Max’d Out in third spot.
