Punchestown is still a possibility for Inothewayurthinkin after connections chose to sidestep the Grand National in the aftermath of his Cheltenham Gold Cup victory.

Gavin Cromwell's seven-year-old was a six-length winner of the blue riband last month, defeating Galopin Des Champs in a superb performance under Mark Walsh.

He had been supplemented for the race at a late stage as the Grand National looked to be his seasonal aim, but after scoring at the Festival, connections declined the chance to bid for the double and he did not compete at Aintree.

However, he has been pleasing Cromwell since his Cheltenham triumph and Punchestown is under consideration for him, although conditions will play a part in determining his next step.

"He's great, he's taken everything well and we're very happy with him at home," said the trainer.

"He's definitely still a possibility for Punchestown, but the ground will come into it.

"He would want some nice ease in the ground, so it will probably depend on that."
