Shuffle The Deck, trained locally by Ted Walsh for J P McManus, defied top-weight in the Colm White Bookmakers Rated Novice Hurdle in Naas.

The Jody McGarvey-ridden five-year-old, winner of his maiden on this track in December before a lack lustre effort in Grade 1 company, travelled and jumped well throughout before seeing off long-time leader Casheldale Lad by three lengths.
