Trainer David Marnane and Luke McAteer shared a tremendous sprint double with veteran Jered Maddox and Amemri on āFinals Nightā at Dundalk.
Nine-year-old Jered Maddox got the better of top-weight in the five-furlong Dundalk Stadium Winter Series Awards Day Handicap, prompting Marnane to quip, āHeās disappointing me,ā before adding, āHeās a great old horse ā thatās twelve wins now. I was going to run him over six furlongs last week, but by brother Ed persuaded me to wait for this. He needs a strong pace and rolls home over five. Heās two for two at Laytown and Iād like to go back there with him next year.āĀ
