The theory that Henry de Bromhead’s team has emerged from its mid-season lull and is, once again, on his way back to its peak for the spring festival season will be tested on Monday afternoon in Leopardstown as two highly promising sorts bid to bounce back from lacklustre efforts which came during that lull period for the yard.
One of those was Koktail Divin, who went into the notebook as a certain future winner when runner-up to Kaid d’Authie in a maiden at the Christmas meeting at this venue. He then went to a hot race in Fairyhouse, and while he finished third behind Kawaboomga and subsequent winner William Munny, his finishing effort was particularly disappointing.
