Naas report; Cheltenham trip off table for battling Bacchanalian

FLYING FORM: Bacchanalian and Sean O’Keeffe win for trainer Declan Queally following the four-year-old’s all-the-way performance in the Grade 3 William Hill Top Price Guarantee Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdlein Naas. Picture: Healy Racing

Declan Queally ruled out a trip to Cheltenham for Bacchanalian following the four-year-old’s gutsy, all-the-way success in the Grade 3 William Hill Top Price Guarantee Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle in Naas, where the last two races, the two chases on the card, were abandoned after torrential showers left the chase track unfit for racing.

Ridden by Sean O’Keeffe, the 6/4 favourite made every yard of the running and, relishing the testing underfoot conditions, stayed on to beat Kool One by 11 lengths.
