The rescheduled Lismore Harriers point-to-point fixture took place at Kilossera outside Dungarvan on Saturday and West Of Carrig destroyed the opposition in the novice riders open by giving a sublime display of fencing from the front under his Carrigtwohill-based handler’s Don Browne’s son Adrian Browne, who also owns the victorious eight-year-old.

West Of Carrig (11-10), having finished third on his previous two starts in hunter chases, was travelling best with a four-length advantage over Pat Coyne when John Queally’s charge departed at the last and the winning son of Westerner then defeated Lord Of Kerak by 10 lengths.
