Front-running Quilixios, enterprisingly ridden by Darragh O’Keeffe, turned over hotpot Marine Nationale in the Grade Three Barberstown Castle Chase in Naas, completing a double for in-form Henry de Bromhead.

The Cheveley Park-owned seven-year-old bowled along, winging every fence, had the favourite in trouble before the second last fence, and stayed on up the hill to triumph by seven and a half lengths.
