SMART PROSPECT: Giselle got off the mark at the Curragh earlier this month and the Frankel filly can make a successful return to the home of Irish Flat racing on Tuesday afternoon. Picture: Healy Racing

Recent maiden winner Giselle can make a successful step up the grading ladder by taking the Group 3 Staffordstown Stud Stakes, the feature on Tuesday afternoon’s eight-race card at the Curragh.

When making her debut, in early June at Leopardstown, Aidan O’Brien’s filly was a heavily backed 8-11 chance but came up shy behind stablemate Bedtime Story. Considering the winner went on to win the listed Chesham, the Group 3 Silver Flash and Group 2 Debutante Stakes, it wasn’t a bad effort.
