BUDGETS come and budgets go, and this one will be no different: Changes for 12 months, which are altered or reversed this time next year, with the only common thread being inflation, which means everyone is looking for more.

The increase in the horseracing and greyhound fund is in keeping with inflation, but it was interesting to read that the only threat to the horse racing slice of the pie was perceived to be the PR gaffes the sport has endured over the past few years.
