'One in a million' Kyprios claims second St Leger

Kyprios won the Group 1 Comer Group International Irish St Leger for the second time when readily accounting for his five rivals in Sunday’s feature at the Curragh, but there is much more to this horse than the bare performance.

The now six-year-old son of Galileo and Polished Gem has had a remarkable career considering he had two periods of almost a year on the sidelines. Saying much about his constitution, connections’ resolution and perseverance, he has come back better than ever each time, leaving the question of what level of stardom he might have reached had he had a clear run.
