Henri Matisse can claim National Stakes spoils at the Curragh
ON THE IMPROVE: Henri Matisse wins the Group 2 Futurity Stakes at the Curragh last month. He can extend his unbeaten record on Sunday.
The Irish Champions Festival moves to Curragh for day two and Henri Matisse, who contests the Group 1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes, makes most appeal as a bet on the eight-race card.
Aidan O’Brien’s colt was a shade workmanlike on debut, when touching off Cadogan in a Curragh maiden, and it was a similar story when he was cleverly ridden to get on top late in the Group 2 GAIN Railway Stakes on his second start.
