Lord Massusus shows his finishing power to claim victory

Trained by Joe Murphy and ridden by Gary Carroll, he travelled sweetly, and his only danger came in the home straight as he went for a gap which wasn’t entirely accommodating.

Having chased home White Birch in a Group 2 on his penultimate start and struggled in a Group 1 behind the same horse last time out, Lord Massusus was entitled to feel very much at home dropped back to listed company for the Colm McLoughlin Celebration Stakes, and so it proved.
