Leopardstown plays hosts to a good Flat programme on Thursday evening and Portland can gain an overdue return to winning ways in the second race, the Listed King George V Cup.
In his juvenile season, the Ballydoyle colt took him three goes to get off the mark, but he improved further throughout a busy season, and finished off his 2023 campaign with a third-place finish in the Group 1 Criterium International at Saint-Cloud.
