For the first time in 11 years, the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas went for export, and did so courtesy of a stunning display by the Karl Burke-trained and Danny Tudhope-ridden Fallen Angel.

With the Richard Hannon-trained Rosallion having won the 2,000 Guineas a day earlier, it was also the first time since 2004, when James Toller’s Bachelor Duke and Mark Johnston’s Attraction obliged, that both Guineas were won by UK raiders.
