Torrential rain did for Gowran Park on Wednesday, but Limerick is at the other end of the spectrum, with watering reportedly required for Thursday evening’s meeting. A competitive seven-race chase card awaits punters and Fortunedefortunata looks up to the task of taking the third race on the programme, the Paqit Beginners’ Chase.

Trained by Gordon Elliott, in November he was an impressive winner of what looked like a competitive handicap hurdle at Navan and while he was unable to supplement that success, he went on to run some fine races in defeat.
