50 years on, Wright recalls 'one of the best days of my life'

Among those in attendance at Fairyhouse to watch Intense Raffles add his name to the Irish Grand National roll of honour was a man who had not frequented the Meath venue since winning the Easter Monday highlight half a century ago.
Eddie Wright rode the Jim Dreaper-trained Colebridge to victory in the 1974 Irish National and the Dubliner celebrated his 77th birthday by making an overdue return to the scene of his greatest success.
