Fairyhouse tips: Sandor Clegane can make his class tell
SMART PROSPECT: Sandor Clegane has always looked like a chaser in the making. Picture: Healy Racing
The quality comes early on Tuesday’s National Hunt card in Fairyhouse with a fine field assembling for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners’ Chase and, even though the trip is on the sharp side, it is difficult to oppose Sandor Clegane.
Through the course of last season, Paul Nolan’s horse developed into a smart hurdler, culminating in a third-place finish in the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival. It is fair to point out that he was beaten on his seasonal debut, which was also his only run of the season over Tuesday’s trip, but he is a better horse now and has always looked like a chaser in the making.
