Gerri Colombe hands jockey Gainsford belated Christmas present with impressive Limerick win 

Gerri Colombe was opposed by four rivals, three of which were trained by Willie Mullins, with 6-4 chance Kilcruit seemingly the first string ahead of Adamantly Chosen and Authorized Art.

Gerri Colombe gave jockey Jordan Gainford a belated Christmas present when winning the Grade One Guinness Faugheen Novice Chase in impressive style.

Gainford made his Grade One breakthrough when landing the American Grand National on board Hewick in October but, one suspects, all he wanted for Christmas was a first domestic top-level success to add to his developing CV.
