Turner out of hospital after Doncaster fall

Hayley Turner has been released from hospital after she suffered a heavy fall in the DFS Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster.

Leading lady rider Turner, who only recently returned to action having suffered a broken ankle in July, escaped serious injury when she was thrown to the ground after her mount Seal Of Approval clipped heels and came down on the far rail around a furlong and a half out.

Turner received immediate medical attention behind screens. She was conscious and was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where she was kept in overnight for observation.

"Hayley has been released from hospital. She's now at home with her mum and is just battered and bruised," said Guy Jewell, Turner's agent.

"All the tests, CT scans and X-rays came back clear, it's just soft tissue damage."
