Viztoria set for Curragh spin
Viztoria is likely to warm up for Classic duty with a racecourse gallop at the Curragh on March 24.
Trainer Eddie Lynam is to approach Ireland’s Flat headquarters with a view to giving his Qipco 1000 Guineas hopeful a spin after racing on the opening day of the turf season there.
Lynam would also like to give her a run in a Classic trial ahead of the Newmarket showpiece on May 5.
“We’re delighted with her. She’s training very well and she’ll probably have a run in a Classic trial,” said the County Meath handler.
“I’ve got to speak to the course, but she’ll probably go to the Curragh for a canter after racing there and Johnny (Murtagh) will have a sit on her the first day of the Flat.
“She seems in great order and we are very pleased with her. The 1000 Guineas is the dream.”
Viztoria, who also holds an entry in the Irish version on May 25, won a Listed race at the Curragh by seven and a half lengths and was runner-up in Group Two at Maisons-Laffitte on her final start as a two-year-old.
