Ayr gets go-ahead after inspection

This afternoon’s meeting at Ayr goes ahead after the track passed a morning inspection.

Officials had planned to check conditions at 7.30am but they were able to give the thumbs up earlier than that after receiving less rain than expected.

The track tweeted: “Racing goes ahead. Inspection brought forward. 1mm past 24hrs.Rain forecast today so may need to monitor conditions.”

However, more rain is forecast at the track and a 7.30am inspection has been called for Thursday’s meeting.
