Bated Breath heading to Haydock

Bated Breath’s quest to claim an elusive first Group One success will move on to Haydock’s Betfred Sprint Cup next month after his sixth-place finish in the Coolmore Nunthorpe at York last week.

Roger Charlton’s sprinter was first home of those drawn high and his trainer believes the fact Spirit Quartz, who had been comprehensively beaten by Bated Breath on the two previous occasions they had met, finished in front of him proved he was on the wrong part of the track.
