O'Connor in line for final after clear round

Cian O'Connor produced a flawless first round in today's individual showjumping final at Greenwich Park today.

In a sensational turn of events, O'Connor and Blue Loyd were only included in the final after the withdrawal of the Swedish entry.

This came after he was sensationally brought in to represent Ireland at the Olympics after Horse Sport Ireland withdrew their nomination for Denis Lynch and Latinus.

The Meath man, who is now in medal contention, will go into the second round at around 3pm this afternoon.
