Lynch loses Olympic team appeal

Showjumper Denis Lynch has today lost appeal against his deselection from Irish Olympic team.

Showjumper Denis Lynch has today lost appeal against his deselection from Irish Olympic team.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport said that the issue is outside of their remit.

The decision means that Cian O'Connor will now officially replace Lynch in the Irish team, alongside Billy Twomey.

Lynch was dropped after his horse Lantinus tested positive for hypersensitivity three weeks ago.
