Salisbury set to check
Officials at Salisbury have announced a 9am inspection ahead of tomorrow's evening fixture due to the threat of further heavy rain.
Although the course is raceable at present, it has been a wet night in Wiltshire and further rain is on the way.
Clerk of the course Jeremy Martin said: “We had 10 millimetres of rain overnight, which has left the going heavy, soft in places.
“We’ve decided to call an inspection as I spoke to the weatherman a little while ago and there is a threat of heavy and potentially torrential showers later this afternoon and into this evening.
“We could get anything between two and 25 millimetres, so we’ll just have to see what materialises.
“I’m not hopeful as parts of the course would not take much more rain, but we’ll see what happens.”
