Lingfield passes inspection

Lingfield's turf course has passed a 6.30am precautionary inspection ahead of this afternoon's fixture.

Although the five all-weather races were never in any doubt, the first three events on the grass were in jeopardy due to the threat of waterloggiging.

But with only three millimetres of overnight rain, clerk of the course Neil MacKenzie Ross was able to give the full meeting the go-ahead.
