Musidora aim for Vow

Impressive Newbury maiden winner Vow could be asked to tackle the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at York on May 16.

The William Haggas-trained filly was unraced as a juvenile but that did not seem to inconvenience her as she made stealthy headway from a long way back to win going away by a length last week.

The bookmakers were impressed and she is already just a 20-1 chance for the Investec Oaks to give her owners, Highclere Thoroughbred Racing a first Classic win.

“I’ve had a chat with Harry Herbert (Highclere racing manager) and both my gut feeling and his is to go to York for the Musidora,” said Haggas.

“We might as well find out if it’s worth a chance to go for the Investec Oaks.”
