More racetrack woe for Harry

Harry Redknapp endured more misfortune on the racetrack as his Arry’s Orse suffered a heart attack at Ripon.

Just a month after he lost the Alan King-trained promising hurdler Bygones In Brid at Taunton, the Tottenham manager was dealt another blow.

Formerly with Bryan Smart in Thirsk, Arry’s Orse won his second start and looked promising as a youngster.

However, a succession of injuries saw him lose his form and he was having his second start for David Nicholls when he collapsed and died a furlong from home.

His jockey Shirley Teasdale was unharmed.

Ripon’s clerk of the course James Hutchinson said: “Unfortunately he didn’t survive.

“He suffered internal hemorrhaging, the term is bled-out, basically he had a heart attack.

“It’s unusual, there’s normally only one or two a year on a racetrack.”
