Bailey gives Midnight Haze Aintree green light
Midnight Haze will take his chance in the John Smith’s Grand National at Aintree on April 14 rather than the Irish equivalent.
The 10-year-old showed up for a long way in the Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival before eventually fading to finish sixth.
Trainer Kim Bailey has decided not to take up the Irish option and will instead run him on Merseyside.
“I took him out of the Irish National, and he’s going for the English National where Sean Quinlan will ride,” said Bailey, who won the Grand National with Mr Frisk in 1990.
