Niche Market, winner of the 2009 Irish Grand National, has been retired.

Trainer Paul Nicholls broke the news earlier this week that Niche Market would have to miss the John Smith’s Grand National after picking up an injury, and owner Graham Regan used Nicholls’ Betfair column to confirm his retirement.
