Eagle poised for Gold run

American stayer Eagle Poise could be readied for a tilt at the Ascot Gold Cup in June.

The Graham Motion-trained six-year-old landed a Grade Three prize at Woodbine in December and runs in the colours of Mark Grier’s Riverdee Stable.

Grier said: “He’s proving to be quite a good turf horse in America and won a Graded race at Woodbine in December. He just might be entered for the Ascot Gold Cup.”
