Weather hits Bangor meeting

Friday’s meeting at Bangor has been abandoned due to a frozen track.

Clerk of the course Andrew Morris inspected the track at 8am and was forced to call off the meeting after another cold night.

He said: “The temperature reached minus 4C overnight and it is still minus 2C now.

“We’re not forecast to get above 2C from now until the end of racing tomorrow. There is also the threat of snow so there is nothing in the forecast to suggest we have any conceivable chance of racing.”
