Sedgefield check a third time

This afternoon’s meeting at Sedgefield must pass a third course inspection at 11am.

Frost remains the issue at the County Durham circuit as temperatures have been slow to rise throughout the morning.

Two earlier inspections, at 8am and shortly before 10am, proved inconclusive.

Clerk of the course Phil Tuck said: "The temperatures haven't really risen as we'd have hoped. We are not admitting defeat just yet, but we do need a bit of help from the elements.”
