Magnanimity is set to tackle next month’s Hennessy Gold Cup at Leopardstown after his satisfactory comeback effort in the Lexus Chase over Christmas.

Dessie Hughes’ eight-year-old was one of the best novices in Ireland last season and was beaten just a length into fourth in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham.
