Sedgefield given all-clear

This afternoon's meeting at Sedgefield goes ahead following a 12pm course inspection.

High winds at the track had caused concern all morning, but officials at the County Durham circuit were finally happy to give the jumps fixture the go-ahead.

The first race is due to commence at 12.40pm.

Trainee clerk of the course Phil Tuck said: "Racing goes ahead.

"We will continue to monitor the conditions after first race, we will decide which fences they will jump in the chases."
