Ellison duo make Melbourne cut

Brian Ellison’s luck was right in on Saturday as both of his runners made the final field for the Emirates Melbourne Cup at Flemington.

Ellison needed horses to drop out in order for Moyenne Corniche and Saptapadi to take their places next Tuesday, but it turned out they were both safely in after a hectic day at Flemington.
